New Online Market for those wanting to order local produce in Central Lake County Florida. Leading the charge is Aleece Landis of Aquaponic Lynx LLC.
Aquaponic Lynx LLC grows vegetables and fish Aquaponically.
We are currently seeking additional growers and customers, please feel free to sign up for an account. Fees for growers is 10% of total sales to cover costs of operating the market. Fees for customers is only $25 for the year per household and you can make your first two purchases as a trial before paying the fee.
Right now the drop off and pick up location will be

But this may change if other farms in the area want to host the drop off/pick up day/s. You can reach me by phone/text at 407-342-8515
Ordering window from Monday afternoon through Thursday 8pm and pick up will be on Saturday Morning. Farms would bring their orders to the drop off on Friday afternoon. I am open to changing this schedule to meet the needs of the majority of people who participate. Please feel free to share your suggestions with me.

Week October 5-10
Finally Fall weather has arrived. It is wonderful to feel comfortable outdoors with clothes on again.
The plants love the weather too. Lettuce is looking bigger and soon we will have more variety to offer.
New Growers Week Sept 21-25
Still limited availability but we have two new growers so I’m opening up the market for ordering this week.
Get the word out so we can entice more growers with more customers and entice more customers with more offerings.
Will be closing the ordering window Thursday Night so growers have Friday to harvest and prepare. Pickup on the weekend, If you are ordering please let me know when you would like to pick up the order since I don’t expect many yet, we can make an appointment.
Market Open Week of Aug 17-21
Still not much new to offer. We have done much farm clean up and are hoping to get some more farms on board offering products.
We are getting fall seeds in and hopefully it will be a busy fall.
If you are on the fence about joining now I encourage you to join. There are no fees just to join. You can make your fist two orders before paying any membership fees so you can try it out to decide if this is for you or not. The more people we get involved in local food, the more we will have available to offer.

I’m mainly just opening the market in case anyone wants to order fish this week.
We will be harvesting again on Friday. Please send me a message by Thursday if you want to come get fish on Friday so that I can be prepared. Otherwise I don’t expect to have fish available again till October sometime.
July 27-30, 2015 Ordering
New Product, Only available at limited times each year because we do not harvest fish weekly.
Channel Catfish.
Fresh Harvested, Whole NOT cleaned.
Average fish is 3 or 4 lb.
Smallest order is 1 3 lb fish. ($3 per lb so $9 minimum order.) You bring a cooler and ice to get it home.
Aquaponically raised.
These catfish are fed floating feed in tanks with water constantly cleaned and filtered by aquaponic systems. Our fish are not bottom feeders.
We harvest at pickup time. Fish are placed into water with CO2 to kill them as quick and painlessly (for both fish and people) as possible.
Then we pack into your cooler with ice you bring.
We are not able to clean or fillet fish for you because we do not have a commercial certified kitchen to process them in.
Must Pick up on Friday July 31, 2015 between 1 and 3 pm.
July 20-23 ordering Window
Market is open for ordering. Please say when you would like to pick up when you place your order.
Offerings are still minimal but that is what happens to most farms during summer in Florida.
July 13-16, 2015 Ordering window Open
Still just Aquaponic Lynx LLC farm products available but we are open for ordering.
We have plenty of Lettuce, garlic chives, and Basil.
Probably not this week but perhaps the last week of July, I may have channel catfish available for ordering. If anyone is interested please let me know. I can’t legally clean them for you, they would be whole on ice (please bring your own ice and cooler for me to pack them in.) We would have to plan a single pick up time for anyone wanting the fish because my rule is we only disturb a tank once per week. The operation for harvesting fish is I net them out and place in a bin of water with elevated CO2 to knock them out and put them down with the least amount of pain or trauma to either the fish or the people. Once they are still, we weigh and pack them in ice. You can’t get any fresher than this unless you eat them direct from the water.

Market Open for Ordering!
We still only have the Aquaponic Lynx LLC farm products and not many customers yet but the Market is open for ordering.
Since there will be so few possible orders at this point, I will contact anyone who orders to arrange a pick up time. (Could be Friday, Saturday or Sunday, I just need to know when so I have the order ready and I can contain the puppies and open the gate to be ready for you.)
